Our Work


The Foundation has a comprehensive package for rural communities, which includes:-

  • HIV counseling and testing services (HCT).
  • Promotion of HIV prevention through other prevention beyond abstinence and being faithful.
  • Promotion of HIV prevention with positives.
  • Improving leadership and management at district level.
  • Improving human resources for health.
  • Improving quality and efficiency of HIV&AIDS and TB service delivery within health facilities and community service organizations.
  • Sensitization on abstinence to schools and to the youth out of school.
  • Prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT).
  • Health education i.e. antenatal care, immunization, ARVs administration, reproductive health and responsible sexuality.
  • Training community members and the youth (in & out of school) on HIV/AIDS related issues, Home based care and life skills.
  • Dissemination of IEC/BCC materials.
  • Training of teachers on how to guide students in several fields especial health related.
  • Training health workers on ARVs, counseling/home based care and referral services.
  • Encouraging & supporting formation of anti AIDS clubs in schools.
  • Refer Clients in communities for further medication, guidance and support.
  • Encourage & support formation of post-test clubs in communities.

For HCT services, people in communities who are counseled and tested for HIV and who become positive are reffered to the hospital and worked up for free ARVs.

MMHF also aims to build local capacity addressing critical health problems, in collaboration with  partners to assist  local governments, communities, families, and individuals to develop their skills and identify solutions that meet their public health needs.
